~Chapter Twenty-Three~
Jill was with Leeann as they both went out shopping together, moving through the aisles. "Did Bradrick and Brandonlee really do that in the middle of the night?" Jill asked. She chuckled a little picturing the scene.
"Those two are really weird. I don't know what it is with them." Leeann replied. She picked up a necklace. "This is really pretty." Leeann said.
"It sure is." Jill smiles. The necklace was silver for the chain and had a beautiful red rose. Leeann was thinking about buying it.
Dean stood in the kitchen, wondering what to make for dinner. His father was still at work, his friend was also gone, leaving the house quiet. Suddenly, Moa appeared beside him. "Your sister never came back yet?" He asked Dean.
"No. I am really worried about her. Are you sure you don't know where she is?" Dean asks. Moa wasn't sure, what to think.
"I was sure that she would come back. I mean there was a time in the past..."
"What?"
"Uh! Well... there was something..." Moa wasn't sure if he should just tell Dean.
"Tell me, now! I want to know!" Dean was worried about Katrina.
"In the past. In your past life, hers too. Katrina ran off before because of a mishunderstanding"
"What?!" Dean was surprised. "Katrina had a past life too?"
"She did, but things are different this time," Moa said. "In the past, there was a misunderstanding and she never returned. But now... I just don't know."
"That's not happening again, is it?" Dean asked, his voice rising. "What do you mean she never returned? Did she turn evil?"
"Of course not," Moa replied. "I just can't sense her for some reason."
Dean looked at Moa, a new thought crossing his mind. "Moa, is she even one of us? Is she a chosen one?"
"I am not sure. I don't think so?" Moa's memory was a little fuzzy from the past. "Your dreams should tell you your past soon."
"I feel like it hasn't." Dean looked down.
"Where's your cocky friend, Vikki?" Moa asks. He was looking around and didn't see him anywhere in the kitchen with Dean.
"He's said something about going over a friend's place on the bus I think." Dean responds.
Vikki was staring at Katrina in the window of Lancer's house. He was outside. Furious that Lancer was hugging Katrina. ""That bitch cheated on me!" he hissed, his face contorted with rage. Then he blinked, stopping himself. "Oh wait... I’m not even dating her. Ew! Who would want to?"
He turned and ran off, his face bright red. He didn't know why those words had even come out of his mouth. He waved a quick goodbye to Delton and started the walk back to Dean’s house. He knew exactly where Katrina was now, but he wasn't sure if he should tell Dean.
Meanwhile, Leeann had headed home, and Jill arrived at the house to spend the night. But before the two girls could step inside, the sound of Bradrick’s voice stopped them in their tracks.
"Alright! Move out of the way! This man is coming through!" Bradrick yelled. He pushed Leeann away from the front door. He also pushes Jill.
"What the heck?!" Leeann was angry with Bradrick.
"Hold your places girls!" Brandonlee came over to Jill and Leeann.
"Eugh! You and Bradrick are so annoying!" Leeann glared at Brandonlee. Brandonlee stares at Jill.
"Hmm. You look edible to go in the house. Go ahead." Brandonlee said and Jill gave him a strange look.
"Are your brothers alright?" Jill asked Leeann.
"No, they were dropped on their head when they were born." Leeann responds. Bradrick peaked his head out of the door.
"Oh yes! Let the babe with the long hair right in!" Bradrick said. He grabs Jill's arm and swings her into the house with him.
"Eh?!" Jill was confused. Brandonlee stood in front of the door.
"What are you doing?! Let me in the house you moron!"
"No can do. You're not invited. You don't live here." Brandonlee said to her.
"I am telling mom!" Leeann threatens.
"Like that will do anything, mom is out grocery shopping with Peyton." Brandonlee smiled. Inside the house, Bradrick had music playing on a radio in the living room. He was dancing with Jill. She was confused on why he was making her dance with him. She just wanted to go hang with Leeann in her bedroom. Bradrick was making her dance to Humpty Dance song with him. But oddly enough he was trying to do the tangle for no reason.
"W-Why are you making me dance with you?" Jill asked.
"Well, you know Veronica?"
"Uh... not really."
"Well, you know Veronica? Well, she's sick and can't come over and we kind of wanted to dance with her. She's like my best friend. Don't tell Brandonlee because she told me I was her best friend. Not him."
"Again, I don't know her. Who are you talking about? What's Brandonlee doing then?" Jill wasn't sure what Bradrick was talking about. He was confusing her.
"He's keeping that annoying girl out of the house. Who is she? Like she just arrived one day. Mom brought her home and it scared me."
"That's your sister." Jill got free from Bradrick. "Can you please let her in?"
"You asked nicely. I like that. Alright." Bradrick ran out of the living room.
"Leeann is right. Her brothers were obviously dropped on their head. Multiple times." Jill thought to herself.
Leeann was staring at Brandonlee. He was eating a hamburger in front of her. "Let me in my house!"
"I can't. I am on break."
"Get out of my way!" Leeann pushed Brandonlee out of the way and went into house. Bradrick came into the entrance hall in the house and saw Leeann.
"OH MY GOSH! NO! NO!" Bradrick yelled.
"I don't know what crawled in Brandonlee's and yours butt but you two are probably late for work. Why are you even here getting on my nerves?" Leeann asked.
"Work?" Bradrick stared confused. "Work... Work..." Bradrick was standing there in thought.
"You know, McDonald's?" Leeann reminds him. "Man, you two are really annoying and stupid." Leeann saw Jill coming out of the living room. "Let's go upstairs to my bedroom before my brothers do something stupid again." Jill and Leeann went upstairs.
"Oh! Work!" Bradrick started to remember that him and Brandonlee had a job. They both were late. Bradrick went outside and saw Brandonlee crying. "What's the matter?" He asked as he walked over to his twin brothers.
"Leeann! She's threw my hamburger on the ground! Look at it!" Brandonlee points to a smashed burger on the ground. When Leeann pushed Brandonlee, she made him land on his hamburger. Crushing it.
"The poor thing. You know what needs to be done." Bradrick said touching Brandonlee's shoulder.
"It needs a proper burial." Brandonlee picked up the hamburger. Jill and Leeann were upstairs. Leeann had taken her to her bedroom. "What is wrong with your brothers?" Jill asks. She was confused what was going on with them and what they were doing.
"I don't even know. They both are really weird. It's unbelievable sometimes the things they do and say."
"Yeah, it really is weird. Who's Veronica? Bradrick told me not to tell Brandonlee that Veronica said he was her best friend not Brandonlee. What's he talking about?"
"Some young girl that they been hanging out with. I think she lives nearby because she gets off the bus when we do. They just started hanging with her and play football and crap with her. You know my mom let that girl spend the night with my brothers, for real. And it's not fair! I mean I can't have any boys over."
"Why did she let them have a girl over?" Leeann didn't understand her mother. She kept telling her mother that Veronica was a girl but she just seemed to ignore when she told her.
"That is odd. Why would your mother let a girl spend the night with your brothers? They must be either very lucky or just really stupid. Stupid maybe and your mom probably knows nothing gross will happen."
"I don't know, I hear them sometimes yell at each other about who Veronica likes more. They just met this girl. This girl they have been hanging out with looks young. Younger than me! I know shes in middle school. But I am not sure how old she is. Isn't that just weird?!"
"It is... different. Anyways, I wanted to ask you if you think we should just team up with Dean and the others?"
"I don't know. Vikki is annoying. My brothers are annoying. And Dean well he's... just... Dean." Leeann wasn't sure about the whole idea. "I feel like those boys are just morons. They can't really help when the going gets tough. I may help out before but no more."
"Dean has a good power though. I think he's very skilled at this. Maybe more than us."
"I don't care!" Leeann still felt upset that Dean had a power. She was working at this longer than he was and yet he had a power. She didn't. It made her felt like giving up. Honestly. "Look. I been working at this longer than Dean! All of you!"
"Leeann... Are you a little jealous that Dean has a power?" Jill asks. She had a feeling.
"I don't know." Leeann looks down. "I feel uncomfortable around those boys."
"Maybe it's because you were an Amazon in your past life? I am guessing." Jill said.
