~Chapter Four~
Dean was sitting in the tub taking a bath. He was still deep in thought about everything that happened yesterday and earlier today. "I am not even used to fighting monsters yet. Seems scary, but… I am not scared. For some reason." Dean got out of the tub and was holding his towel. He was drying himself off and then started to get dressed in his PJs. He left the bathroom and went to his bedroom upstairs. He found Vikki bouncing on his bed. "What are you doing?" Dean asked. Vikki stopped and sat down.
"I need some blankets to camp out on the floor. I'm not sleeping in bed with you." Vikki tells Dean.
"Okay. I'll get you some." Dean left the bedroom and went to the bathroom to get his dirty clothes that he had forgotten he had left in there. He took them to his bedroom and put them in his hamper. He then went to the closet in the hallway and pulled some extra pillows and blankets out. He went back to his bedroom and laid it on the floor. "There you go." Vikki got up and was making a little bed on the floor.
"I want to watch some porn!"
"What's porn?" Dean asked, confused.
"Your dad has some in his bedroom. I'll sneak in there and get some!" Vikki gets up and peeks his head out of Dean's bedroom door. He saw Paul leaving his bedroom and made his way downstairs into the bathroom. When he saw him shut the door, he left Dean's bedroom. Vikki quietly went into Dean's dad's bedroom and looked at the VHS tapes Paul had on a shelf in his bedroom.
"Bingo." Vikki took three VHS tapes off the shelf, and behind them were three other VHS tapes. Porn. Vikki took them out and then put the other VHS tapes back. He quickly ran back into Dean's bedroom.
"Where did you go?" Dean asked sitting on his bed now.
"I got the porn!" Vikki smiles.
"I'm going to go get something to drink and eat for the movie. Okay?" Dean got up and went to the door.
"Uh… Okay?" Vikki was confused, and Dean left the bedroom. Katrina was lying on her bed when her phone rang. She answered it.
"Hey, it's Alivia. What are you doing?"
"Nothing." Katrina answered. "Just getting annoyed by my brother's zit friend. He's so annoying. I wished he would leave, but he's spending the night."
"You talking about Vikki, right? I don't know what to do with a pest like him. Do you have bug spray to spray him with?"
"I did two months ago, but my dad got mad that I sprayed it in Vikki's eyes, so he grounded me for two weeks. Can you believe it?!"
"But if Vikki is a pest, you were just trying to eliminate him. Why would your dad defend a bug?"
"Uh… You know Vikki isn't actually bug right? He's my little brother's friend. A nerd that lives next door." Katrina explains to Alivia.
"I know." Alivia responds. "Hey, let's go shopping soon. Jill and Leeann can come with us. How about it?"
"I'm sure my dad wouldn't mind. To the mall on Saturday?" Katrina asked.
"Certainly." Alivia answered. "We can even get food!"
"You sure love food, don't you?" Katrina asked.
"I can't help it. My period lasts a whole week, and the rest of the month I'm eating all that food to get my iron and strength back." Alivia said and laughed a little.
Dean came back into his bedroom and sat on his bed. He sets his drink on the end table by his bed. He had potato chips he sat on his bed on the side of him.
He hands Vikki a drink. Vikki takes it and sets it on the floor by him where he was sitting. The video was already on.
"You put it on before I even came back?" Dean asked.
"Shh!" Vikki hushed his friend. Dean looked at the screen.
"What are they doing?" Dean asked, confused. He saw a man on top of a woman on the video. The woman was moaning.
"She's got big knockers." Vikki said in a trance with the TV. Katrina had gotten off the phone and gone out of her bedroom. She heard sounds coming from somewhere. She happened to pass Dean's bedroom and heard the sound. Moaning. She went into the bedroom. "What are you boys watching?" She asked and saw what was playing on the TV. "I'm telling dad!" She ran out of the bedroom.
"Why is she telling? Are we not supposed to be watching this?" Dean asked.
"Shut up!" Vikki got up and quickly turned the VHS tape off. He then picked all of them up and hid them in Dean's closet. Katrina was banging on the bathroom door. After it seemed like a minute, Paul opened it.
"Can a dad ever relax in the tub?" Paul asked. He had a bathrobe on.
"I saw Vikki and Dean watching a dirty video in Dean’s room!" Katrina tattles on her brother and his friend.
"Dean? I don't think he would watch something like that. Vikki, yeah, but Dean no. I'll go check." Paul came out of the bathroom and went upstairs into Dean's bedroom. Vikki had already switched out the VHS tape and was sitting back down on the floor.
As if there was no porn on. Paul looked at the TV and saw Inspector Gadget playing.
"This isn't a dirty video." Paul left the bedroom.
"Are you going to kick Vikki out and ground Dean?" Katrina asked as she walked towards her dad.
"Why would I? They aren't watching anything bad. Katrina, stop making up things, or I'll ground you." Paul went back to the bathroom.
"What?" Katrina peeked back into the bedroom and saw them watching a cartoon. "Maybe I imagined it." Katrina thought and went back to her bedroom.
"Your sister is a bitch. She won't let us watch dirty movies." Vikki said, getting mad.
"We shouldn't be watching stuff like that anyway. You should put that back in my dad's bedroom before he finds out you took it." Dean said. Vikki gets up from the floor.
"Life is cruel." He said and got the VHS tapes and left with them out of the bedroom. Moa appeared in the bedroom with Dean.
"Do you want me to fight more monsters again?" Dean asked. Moa shook his head.
"No. Not now. Just thought we could hang together."
"It's kind of hard to hang when you've got wings." Dean says nervously. "If my dad or sister sees you, they will be asking millions of questions."
"I can't help it. I am part bird, you know." "Part bird?" Dean was confused.
"I am a mythical creature. I am part human and animal. Although I live way longer than humans, more than a thousand years. I can speak any language. I am rare. All my species died out in the past because of them trying to resurrect the Sea God, along with other Sea God followers." Moa explains.
"That's awful. There's no one else like you? Are you like extinct?" Dean asks.
"You can say so. I am the last of my kind. Once I'm gone, there won't be any others." Moa explains to Dean. "I had a sister. A younger sister before named Emeus."
"You did?" Dean asks.
"Yes, those fools in the past. Many years ago. They killed her as a sacrifice for the Sea God. Till this day, I miss my sister."
"That's so sad!" Dean said, starting to cry. Vikki came back into the bedroom.
"Oh no, what's bird face doing in here?" Vikki asked.
"Just talking more about myself. I want to hang with you two." Moa sits on Dean's bed. "Don't worry, I won't let my wings wack you." He tells Dean. Dean dries his tears.
"Moa just got done telling me he had a little sister before and lost her because of this Sea God." Dean tells Vikki. Paul got out of the shower and went past Dean's bedroom.
"Lost a sister?" Vikki asked.
"Yeah. Isn't that so sad?" Dean asks Vikki. Paul heard Dean and Vikki.
"A sister? Losing one?" Paul went to his bedroom and went to his closet. He pulled his photo album off the top shelf and then went over to his bed, sat down. He opened it up and began looking at the photos in it. Pictures of him younger, his wife, and when she was younger. "Diane, you were always beautiful." He turned the page and stared at a little girl in Diane's arms. It said: 'Diane and Katrina- August- Katrina's second birthday.
Katrina was listening by the door.
"I miss my baby girl, Katrina…" He said, crying. "I miss Diane too."
"Huh?" Katrina thought to herself, confused.
"I hope Dean didn't find out that the Katrina living with him isn't his real sister. His real sister died when she was four. She was older than Dean. Also, older than the other Katrina. When I was asked to take her in, I accepted it and named her after my dead daughter. My wife and I weren't sure if that was the right thing to do or not.
The doctors kept telling my wife and me that I couldn't have children and that losing the real Katrina was so depressing. She was a miracle baby for me." Katrina was listening to her dad by the door, hearing some of what Paul said.
"Am…Am I not really Dean's sister? He's not my dad?" She wondered. "Was I adopted? If I were, Dean might've been too." Katrina ran away from the door and back to her bedroom.
"The real Katrina was always such a cheerful girl. She looked so much like her mother. Then one day, I was so busy at work. Diane was sick, but was trying to watch Katrina. Couldn't find a babysitter. Diane passed out. Katrina got out somehow out of the house somehow and was hit by a car. She was rushed to the hospital. Didn't make it." Paul felt depressed.
