~Chapter Twenty-Nine~
Dean was hanging with Fred and Dusty over at Fred's home. Fred lived in quite a large home since his mother had like about 10 kids with four different men. "I am going to be just as good as any rapper! Even better!" Fred said with a smile.
"You know, I realize I didn't do my homework for the past week and the teacher, Mrs. Layden, let me off the hook because I am one of her favorite students." Dusty said. Dean was surprised.
"Are you kidding me? Mrs. Layden is usually strict! But her strictness makes her, even more, prettier I suppose..." Dean started to mumble his last sentence.
"Who the hell cares about Mrs. Layden? All she has it big tits." Fred did a model pose. "I am so sexy. I got laid by all those around. Check out this cute butt." Fred was now being random. Dean started to feel sleepy as he sat there on the floor.
"I feel tired and I don't know why...?" Dean thought to himself. He felt like he just wanted to go to sleep.
"FREDRICK DANNY HUNTER JUSTIN SAMPSON! YOU BETTER GET YOUR ASS DOWN HERE!" Fred's mother yelled downstairs. She sounded angry.
"Dude, you got too many middle names." Dusty laughed a little.
"I better go downstairs. I am probably going to get yelled at." Fred rolled his eyes and left the bedroom.
"Does he always get into trouble?" Dean asks. Dusty laughed.
"Yes, usually over the ridiculous things. His mother is a real bitch and a whore."
"What's that?" Dean asked.
"She sleeps with a bunch of men. She's been married twice and cheated on both husbands they left her. She gets worshipped though and gets to keep all 10 kids that she had. Fred has 9 siblings. It's insane."
"I remember seeing four downstairs. Two girls want to watch TV. One girl working on homework in the kitchen. A boy that was staring at the wall? I don't know what was the matter with him. Where's the other five?"
"Two of them are staying with their dad for a few nights. The other three probably went to hang out with some friends." Dusty responded. Dean was feeling like his eyes were getting too heavy to keep open. "Are you okay?"
"I...I am fine..." Dean said but passes out. Dusty was surprised to see Dean just pass out.
"Hey! Are you alright?!" Dusty asks, concerned for Dean.
"I can hear you... but some reason my eyes want to stay closed..." Dean thinks to himself as he lies there on the floor. Dean began to dream. It looked like of himself. Walking home and it was dark outside. A monster comes out of nowhere and attacks him.
"W-What?!" Dean felt scared. His eyes opened.
"Are you alright?" Dusty asked Dean. Dean sat up.
"A monster... is going to attack me soon..." Dean thought to himself. He stares at Dusty.
"You just passed out. Are you sick?"
"No. I think I am just tired. I might go home. Okay?" Dean wanted to quickly get home before it got dark. He didn't want his vision to come true of a monster attacking him.
"Are you sure?" Dusty asks. Dean nods and left the bedroom. He wanted to find Fred to say goodbye to him before he left. Dean heard some yelling when he got downstairs.
"Mom! I did not leave the milk carton open in the fridge! I was at school and when I came home, I went straight to my bedroom!" Fred said to his mom. She was glaring at him.
"You always leave the milk carton open! I want no excuses! None of your sisters did this! They are precious angels that do no harm! Unless it was Marina because she doesn't count of a precious one because looks like her ugly father."
"But mom!" Fred was telling the truth. He didn't leave the milk carton open and put it back into the fridge. In reality, Fred's mother did but wanted to blame someone else anyways for her mistake. Dean wasn't sure how was he going to tell Fred about wanting to go.
Vikki was sitting in the living room. He was sitting on the sofa. "Katrina... I can't believe I made her soup. I hope she likes it. I tried to remember what my grandmother told me to do when cooking." Vikki thought to himself. He was blushing red.
Katrina finished eating the soup. Moa took the tray from her that had the bowl on it. "I will take these and ask Vikki where to put them." Moa disappeared.
"That soup... it was good actually. Who knew Vikki could cook?" Katrina thought to herself. Katrina puts her hand over her chest where her heart was. She was blushing. "It wasn't too long ago when Vikki told me he loves me... And we always fight all the time... It felt so strange hearing that from him, but when he said it... it sounded so... I feel like he told me that before for some reason. But he never did."
Dean was able to leave Fred's home. While he was walking, he was trying to be alert. "No monster is going to get me! I won't let it!" Dean thought to himself. He didn't know why but he felt uneasy. As he continued his walk home, it got darker. "This is strange... Where is everyone?" Dean stopped walking and looked around. It was quiet. No one seemed to be around. Dean wasn't sure why he didn't see anyone.
"This feels... Weird..." Dean thought. He was confused on where everyone was at.
Damien was watching Dean from a distance. "He surely can't get away now. I will kill him and no one will bother to care." Damien thought. He summoned monsters. About four of them. "No one can even save Dean." The monsters jumped out in front of Dean.
"AH!" Dean was startled and fell down to the ground.
"IT'S TIME TO KILL YOU, BOY!" One of the monster's said in a deep tone of voice. It was scary to Dean. He got up and screamed. He took off running.
"YOU CAN'T GO ANYWHERE!" One monster jumped in front Dean. He was even bigger than the other monster. Dean could feel his heart beating fast.
"No! I need my sword!" Dean thought to himself. He closes his eyes and his sword appeared in front of him. "You can't scare me no more!" Dean said now trying to be brave. "I won't let you hurt me!" Dean charged at the monster in front of him and stabs him. The monster laughed.
"That won't work!" He said. Another monster came over and hits Dean. Knocking him to the ground.
"Eugh!" Dean got back up quickly. He wanted to end these monsters before they ended him. "Who sent you all out?!"
"We don't have to tell!" A smaller monster says. It was the shortest out of the four. Dean felt like all he could do now was his special power. There was no other way.
Wind Thrash!" Dean yelled, swinging his sword with everything he had.
He waited for the familiar rush of air, the cutting force of his magic—but nothing happened. The air stayed still, and his sword felt like nothing more than a piece of cold metal in his hands.
"What?" Dean stammered, his heart sinking. "Why didn't it work?"
He stared down at the hilt of his sword, checking for a crack or a sign of what went wrong. Around him, the monsters didn't attack. Instead, they began to hoot and jeer, their guttural voices filling the soundings with mocking laughter as they pointed at the powerless hero.
"He can't even do anything special!"
"He's so stupid!" Dean glares at the monsters who were making fun of him.
"It is not funny!" Dean yelled and sliced one of the monsters in half. It turned to dust. "And now with you three!" Dean wanted to try once more. "WIND THRASH!" He yelled. A tiny little wind came out and barely hits the monsters. They laughed. "Why isn't this stupid thing working?!" Dean was getting angry with his sword.
A monster hits Dean and makes him fall to the ground. His sword knocks out of his hand. "Ow..." Dean felt hurt.
"You can't do anything without your sword now!" One of the monsters said with a smile.
"I need help! Why isn't Moa helping me?! Why isn't there no one here?! I don't understand!" Dean felt scared now. Damien continued to watch from a distance.
"He doesn't even notice that I put up a barrier. The Sea God blessed me with this wonderful power!
Now that he's in the barrier, not even his little winged friend can save him! His special powers won't even work either!" Damien laughed. He felt like he outdid himself this time and had confidence that Dean will lose his life and that his soul will belong to the Sea God.
Dean hit the ground hard, the breath leaving his lungs as the monster loomed over him. He tried to push himself up, his hands shaking against the ground, but another heavy blow sent him crashing back down. The laughter of the creatures echoed through his ears, cold and mocking. Dean looked at his useless sword, then at the dark shadows closing in.
"I need help!" he shouted, his voice cracking with desperation. "I can't do this alone!"
The power he usually relied on had vanished, leaving him vulnerable in the middle of a nightmare it felt like. He wasn't the invincible warrior right now; he was just a boy trapped in the dark, waiting for someone to bridge the gap before the monsters closed in for good.
