~Chapter Five~

Katrina was sitting on her bed. She was deep in thought. "Am I really adopted? Who are my real parents?" She thought and lay down. The thought of it made her want to cry. "Was Dean adopted to like me?" She began crying.

Dean was laughing and pointing at the TV. Vikki had put on a movie and turned the cartoon off. "He looks like Uncle Harold!" Dean said.

   "Who's that?" Moa asked.

"Some weirdo that was pretending he was Jesus. He was high. He's Dean's uncle. He used to live here a while back, when Dean was eight, I think. But Dean's dad threw him out when he caught him kissing a lady on the table. So, Dean's dad purchased a new table." Vikki explains to Moa. Moa laughed a little.

"Why would he beat some lady on a table”? Moa asks, chuckling.

“You don’t get it, you're starting to sound like Dean,” Vikki says.

"I'm going to get popcorn." Dean gets up from his bed. "I want that now instead of potato chips. Soda, anyone?"

"I want a Coke." Vikki responds.

   "Okay!" Dean ran off.

"I got to go." Moa disappeared. Moa appeared in a house. A one-floor house. It was quite large. He appeared in a girl's bedroom. Her name was Leeann. She was the girl who had a conversation with Mrs. Layden at the class field trip. The girl was twelve years old and had some classes with Dean.

"Can't you knock?" She rudely asked Moa."You need to learn to get along with males."

"I don't have to." Leeann said as she sat at her desk in her room that had a mirror over it. She was putting some earrings in her ears.

"I know you were an Amazon in the past, but you have the same goal. You need to work with Dean and Vikki soon."

"I don't want to. I can fight these monsters on my own. I don't need them guys."

"They need you, and you need them. You can't defeat the Sea God on your own."

"Women can do a lot of things. You men just don't give us credit. Why can't there be another girl like me?" Leeann asked. Moa didn't respond. "Now, if you don't mind, I have some monsters to get rid of. I don't need you telling me when I have to. I can feel it." Leeann got up and left the house. Moa disappeared.

Dean came back to his bedroom and sat on his bed. He hands Vikki a can of Coke. He sets the bowl of popcorn on his bed. "Where did Moa go?"

"I don't know. Who cares, do you think your sister wears a size C or D in a bra?" Vikki asked.

"What? Which Letter is she holding?" Dean didn't understand what Vikki was talking about.

"No. Do you think her breasts will grow bigger? To a DD or DDD?" Vikki asks Dean.

"Huh? What's with the alphabet?" Dean asks, still confused.

"You're clueless." Vikki says and pulls some popcorn out of the bowl that was on Dean's bed.

   "I am?"

"Yeah. Tits are everything. Don't you want to grab them? Put your head on them? Or anything?" Vikki asks.

"Are you talking about the birds that are mainly in the Northern Hemisphere and Africa? Why would I want to grab them or put my head on them? Don't they peck or bite?" Dean asked Vikki, clearly not getting the message. "Aren't they called chickadees here?"

“You don't get it at all." Vikki put his hand on his face. He felt like he couldn't talk about certain things with Dean.

“Get what?” Dean asked, still confused about the whole topic.

Paul picked up his phone in his bedroom and dialed a number.

   "Hello? This is Karen."

"Hey, Karen. This is Paul. You want to come over today?"

"Sure. What's the matter? You seem upset." Karen said, concerned.

"I am actually. Please come over. I'll sneak you in. I haven't told my children about you yet. Come around 10:30 PM." Paul hung the phone up and took another look at his photo album. "I wonder if Diane would be upset with me for getting into a relationship with another woman? We never did speak about what we should do if something ever happened to both of us." Paul gets up and puts his photo album away.

Katrina had cried herself to sleep on her bed. She was very upset about what she heard today. She managed to fall asleep, though.

It was later that night. At 10:28 PM. Dean and Vikki just got done watching the movie. Dean was getting ready for bed.

"Should we even go to bed this early?" Vikki asked Dean. Vikki usually goes to bed whenever he gets tired back at his place.

"I like to get up early. Even on weekends." Dean smiles, flicks the lights off, and lies down on his bed.

"Too weird." Vikki thought. Dean had fallen asleep. Vikki couldn't sleep. He heard something downstairs. He got up and quietly opened Dean's bedroom door. He saw Paul and a woman he had never seen before coming upstairs. The woman was Karen. Vikki watched them go into Paul's bedroom and shut the door. "What was that?" He wondered and quietly left Dean's bedroom. He shut the door gently and went over to Paul's bedroom. Listening by the door.

"Why didn't you ever tell your children about us yet? We have been dating for a while now."

"It's hard. Along with the mother passing away and all. I don't want them to get angry with me if I am dating." Paul explains to Karen. "I am not sure how they would react to it."

"But we've been dating for four months now. Don't you think it's about time to confess?"

"I did tell them about a woman I thought was pretty in the supermarket. You know, where you work? But... I am not sure if they like it when I talk about that."

"Paul, do you even plan on taking our relationship further?" Karen asks.

"I am. Just give me time." Paul pulls Karen over to him and hugs her.

"So, he's been dating? Why don't he tell Dean or Katrina?

“Dean probably doesn't understand the meaning of dating. That innocent turd." Vikki thought. He wanted to peek into the bedroom but couldn't. He didn't want Paul or Karen finding out he was eavesdropping on them behind the door.

"Karen, I love you so much. I want our relationship to go further. Just give me more time. Please." Paul said and let's go of Karen.

"Fine. I will, but if you don't tell them within a year of dating you, then I'm breaking up." Karen said and kissed Paul. He kisses her lips back.

"So... Paul sneaks his girlfriend in here when Dean is asleep? I wonder if Katrina is asleep?" Vikki went over to Katrina's bedroom and saw that her door was not shut all the way. He peaked into her bedroom and found her sleeping on her bed.

Vikki was staring at Katrina. "I want to play a prank on her, but... something tells me not to." Vikki thought and walked away from Katrina's bedroom.
