~Chapter Three~

After she went to the bathroom, she got a cup and poured some juice into it, and she sat down waiting for her breakfast.

"So, where's your mouse friend? I know sometimes he tries to come over and take our food." Katrina asked.

"I don't know. He doesn't always come over and take our food." Dean finished making Katrina's food and had it all on a plate for her. He goes over to the table and sets it down in front of her.. He then went back over to the stove and was cooking eggs and bacon for himself. Katrina began to eat.

"Why do you hang out with that little freak?"

"I've been friends with him since I was five. I think Vikki was six. Remember, he moved in next door, and he came over to play?"

"I remember. That was when my life turned into a nightmare. His parents really shouldn't have kept dumping him on dad and mom back then." Katrina said and took another bite of her food.

"I haven't heard from Vikki's parents in a while now. Do you think they're okay?" Dean asks.

"I'm sure they're fine. That or Vikki ate them. Are you going to sit and eat too?" Katrina asks. Dean finished cooking his food and sat down to eat at the table with his sister.

At school, Dean was sitting at his desk. Thinking about what happened the night before. "Defeating monsters? Trying to stop a Sea God? Am I really up for that?" Dean wondered. The teacher was talking about the lesson, but Dean wasn't following along. He was in his own world, thinking about the monsters, Moa, and what had happened. "My life is going to get difficult."

The teacher recognizes that Dean is not paying attention. "Dean, please read from page 45." The teacher said. Dean was surprised that the teacher called on him. He quickly flipped to the page in his book and began to read.

A few classes went by fast. At lunch, Dean was sitting with his friend Vikki. "Why didn't you ride the bus again?" Dean asked. "Did your dad take you to school?"
  "No. I just walked it."

"Walked it? Isn't that kind of far?" Dean asked, surprised.

"It's fine. Besides, I didn't want to see your ugly sister on the school bus."

"You don't like her, do you?" Dean asks.

"I don't." Vikki blushes a little and looks the other way.

"Is something the matter?" Dean asked.

"I'm fine." Vikki looked at his food and started eating.

"Do you think we'll be safe? Fighting those monsters and trying to stop a Sea God? I still don't understand it all."

"I don't either. Moa is a jackass and needs to do the work himself since he's so concerned. All I care about is babes." Vikki says.

"Babes? Why do you always talk like that?" Dean asked.

"Because I hate being a virgin." Vikki responded and took a sip of his milk.

"Virgin? I don't follow you?" Dean asked. He didn't understand Vikki. Sometimes, Dean never understood what Vikki was talking about or what he meant, but he still cared for him and thought of him as more than a friend. He was like family to Dean since he grew up with him.

"You know your sister shouldn't wear lacy bras at her age." Vikki mumbles and starts to remember something he did earlier that day. "I told that guy that Katrina didn't like him. He will stand her up. Ha." Vikki thought to himself and laughed a little out loud.

   "Hmm?" Dean was confused.

After school, Dean was in his bedroom working on homework. Katrina was in her bedroom crying, and her friend Alivia was in the bedroom with her. "That Felix jerk doesn't like me! He stood me up!" Katrina cries.

"I guess he lied to me. Never trust a guy that says 'like' all the time." Alivia says. Katrina dries her tears and grabs a tissue and blows her nose.

"He wasn't that cute anyway. Do you think a guy will ever ask me out? I never had a boyfriend before. Have you?" Katrina asks Alivia.

"Nope. Unless you count my mom's ex-boyfriend, Hunter."

"Huh? Who's Hunter?" Katrina asks, drying her tears. "My mom's ex-boyfriend."

"How can you count him as your boyfriend if he was your mother's ex-boyfriend?" Katrina asks, confused.

"Because I grabbed his butt and said, 'Oh, you're cute!', then my mom dumped him."

"You're pretty weird…" Katrina felt grossed out.

Moa appeared in front of Dean. "You got work to do. I sense monsters nearby. I'll take you to the monsters and then get Vikki and bring him." Moa tells Dean.

He gets up from his bed. "Work? Already? I didn't finish my homework." Dean said, and Moa disappeared with him into the woods. "Hey!" Moa disappeared, leaving Dean.

Dean saw monsters coming charging at him. He quickly closed his eyes, and his sword appeared in front of him. He grabs it and starts attacking the monsters.
When Moa found Vikki, he found him watching porn in his bedroom. "Now what are you watching?" Moa asked. Vikki was surprised and quickly turned it off, hiding the TV.

"Can't you knock?!" Vikki glares at him.

"No time. Monsters came out of hiding, and I need you to get rid of them. I already got Dean on the job." Moa tells Vikki.

"If he's on the job, then why do I have to help?" Vikki asked, still glaring at Moa.

"Because it's nice to help your friend," Moa responds and grabs Vikki and disappears with him into the woods with Dean.

They both saw Dean just kill one of the monsters, turning it into dust. "Get your sword! There are many!" Dean tells Vikki. Vikki closed his eyes, and his sword appeared.

"Hey, how does that happen?" Vikki asks Moa as he was holding his sword.

"Because it's your sword. Now fight!" Moa answered. Vikki started attacking the monsters. Moa even helped attack some of them. Knocking them out onto the ground.

There was a total of ten monsters they had to slay and kill. When they killed them, they turned to dust and seemed just to disappear. Dean's and Vikki's swords disappeared.

"Can I go back now?" Vikki asked Moa rudely.

"Fine, fine." Moa grabbed them both and returned them into Dean's bedroom. He then disappeared.
"Why did he take me here?" Vikki asked.

"Not sure. Hey, you want to spend the night and have dinner over here?" Dean asked. Vikki just smiles at Dean.

It was dinner, and Katrina was glaring at Vikki. "Why is he here?" She asked.

"I invited him." Dean smiles. "Is that wrong, dad?" Dean asked.

"Not at all." Paul, Dean's father, replies with a smile.

"I don't like that roach! He just annoys me!"

"Then why do you like staring at me?" Vikki asked just to see her reaction on her face. She was getting angry with him.

"I don't like staring at you!" She yells, blushing as she slammed both hands onto the table.

"That's enough, you two." Paul didn't want to hear them fight. After dinner, Dean was in the bathroom.

Katrina was in her bedroom talking on the phone to her friend, Jill. "I can't believe my little brother let his ugly demon friend sleepover."

"He can't be that bad." Jill said and laughed slightly.

"He is! He gets on my nerves!" Vikki was eavesdropping on Katrina's phone call as he was listening on the phone in the living room. "I wish I could get a boyfriend to show him!"

"Why does it seem like you want to get a boyfriend to get him jealous?" Jill asks.

"What?! I don't want to try to get him jealous! I don't like Vikki!" Katrina's face was all red, but she was glaring.

"You're doing it." Vikki thinks to himself.

"So, what's the deal with you two fighting all the time anyway?" Jill asked.

"I think it all began when he turned eleven or ten. He turned into a little zit that wouldn't leave. He freaking flips up my skirt and starts laughing about seeing my underwear! Then he would take his underwear off and leave it in my bedroom! He's a little devil, I tell you! And then he started calling me names and making fun of me."

"Do you think that, Vikki, perhaps might have a crush on you?" Jill asked.

"Him having a crush on me? I doubt that. He's too evil to feel love."

Katrina gets off the phone with her friend. Vikki hung up the phone and went to Katrina's bedroom. He opened the door and looked at her. "EW! Get out of here! You rat!" Katrina yelled.

"I'm Katrina!" Vikki said and posed like a supermodel. "Look at me. I got big boobs."

"GET OUT!" Katrina blushed and threw her pillow at Vikki. He left the bedroom. "He's such a freak! A little roach!" Paul was walking in the hall and stared at Vikki.
"Leave Katrina alone. Why do you pick on her?" Paul asked.

"Because it's fun." Vikki answered and went to Dean's bedroom. Paul sighed.

"Crushes. I remember when I was younger. I remember being childhood friends with Diane, Dean's mother, and we always fought. Then one day, we realized we loved each other." Paul laughed a little and then went to his bedroom.
