~Chapter Eleven~
In the evening, Vikki was talking to Paul in the living room. Dean and Katrina were together downstairs in the kitchen, cleaning dishes after dinner. "What do you think they're talking about?" Dean asks.
"I am not sure. Maybe Vikki is telling him he pees to bed." Katrina laughed a little. "That cockroach is so annoying. Why did he stay for dinner?"
"He is allowed. Why don't you get along with him? You used to before."
"I did not!" It was true, Katrina did used to get along with Vikki before. That was until one day the two started arguing, and it's been like that since. Vikki was about 11-12 when he began to fight with Katrina.
"But it is true." Dean said and finished up with the dishes with Katrina.
"I don't have time for this! I have a date I have to go to."
"You have a date?" Dean asks.
"Don't ask me like that, like you're all shocked. Guys like me. They do." Katrina walks off. Dean was just puzzled by what she said. He then decided to go upstairs and into his bedroom.
Vikki and Paul have gone upstairs into Paul’s bedroom. "Vikki, why didn't you tell anyone about this?" Paul asks.
"I...I didn't know how to!" Vikki tells the truth. "I just want my mom and dad out of the house and properly buried. But I don't got the money to do that. I feel so bad. I wished I could've done something to stop what happened."
"It's not your fault. But you need to tell the police so they can call some family for you." Paul replies to Vikki.
"My mom... and dad fought a lot. Dad really did use to hit Mom and me. He always got drunk. I think he was depressed because he thought Mom cheated on him, but she didn't."
"Oh, boy. Your dad shouldn't have been hurting you and your mother."
"I know. The day they...passed... mom was telling dad that she was pregnant. Then some man came out of nowhere. Shot them both. The man disappeared, and I got scared. I ran to your guys' place, hoping it was a dream. But when I return I cried all night. I was frightened."
"It's alright. I am going to contact the police, you need to talk to them. Alright?" Paul was leaving the bedroom.
"Alright." Vikki agreed to it.
Eventually, Dean and Katrina heard the news of Vikki's parents. They were stunned by it. Dean felt bad for his friend and did everything he could to try to be there for him if he felt sad. Vikki's family was notified and they buried Vikki's parents after they had a funeral. Vikki's grandparents agreed to take custody of Vikki, but couldn't really watch them though. Paul agreed to let Vikki stay with them and share a bedroom with Dean. Exactly, this all took three weeks.
Dean was in his bedroom with Vikki. Dean's, father helped Vikki get a bed just recently. He even helped Vikki get new clothes and new shoes. "Isn't it strange how everything happened? Now you can still go to school with me, and you can live with us like one big happy family." Dean told his friend.
"I guess. How's your shoulder?"
"It's doing a lot better! It's starting to get cold outside. Better dress warm for school!"
"Like I would really dress cold for school."
At Leeann's house, the morning was a disaster. Leeann's mother made breakfast and was trying to get her sons up. Leeann's brothers. "Wake up!" The woman yelled at her two oldest sons.
"Give me five more minutes to dream about my cheeseburger! We were about to get married!" Brandonlee yelled back at his mom.
"I don't care about your hamburger! Get up now!" She walked away and went to Carlson's and Peyton's bedroom. They were the younger brothers. Leeann was the only girl who was younger than Bradrick and Brandonlee, but older than Carlson and Peyton. Leeann was already downstairs and was eating her breakfast.
"Boys are so lame. They can't even get up on time. Unlike me. I did well. I woke up early and was already eating." Leeann thought to herself. Leeann's mother came back into the kitchen.
"Your brothers should be coming in here soon." Leeann's mother said and sat down. "It's hard being a mother with a lot of children sometimes."
"Why didn't you just have one kid?" Leeann asks.
"Well, it was weird. I found out I was pregnant the first time and had a baby girl named Lexie. Lexie was a good girl until she became a teenager. She flipped and never been seen since. Then, not too long after that, I was pregnant again. Thought it would be one baby. Till doctor told us we were having twins. Had Bradrick and Brandonlee. Your father and I thought those two were a handful! And they were!"
"But if they were, what made you want more kids?" Leeann asks.
"Actually, your grandparents kept watching Bradrick and Brandonlee after a little while, and well, you were sort of an accident. But don't think I don't like you. I like you a lot. I kept you and was so happy to know I was having another baby girl."
"Whatever. Why have Carlson and Peyton?" Leeann asks.
"I just couldn't say no to your father. He kept telling me he wanted another baby, and so Carlson came. Then Peyton." She smiles.
"What about now? You and dad done popping kids out?" Leeann asks.
"Afraid so. Dad said he was done after Peyton." The mom laughed. Bradrick, Brandonlee, Carlson, and Peyton came into the kitchen and sat down at the table.
"Why can't we have cheeseburgers for breakfast?" Bradrick asks.
"Because that's not breakfast food, you moron." Leeann answers Bradrick, and he glares at her.
"Oh no, she didn't! She just didn't insult my cheeseburger!" Brandonlee glares at Leeann.
"I did and I will. How can you eat that? It's so fattening." Leeann said as if she was person that took dieting seriously.
"Like you're one to talk, you were chowing down a cheeseburger with your friend Jill two days ago!" Brandonlee says proving Leeann to be a hypocrite.
"I was not!" Leeann denies it.
"I saw you eating one too!" Bradrick backed Brandonlee up.
"Alright, everyone, settle down. Eat your breakfast so I can take you all to school." The mother tells her children. Carlson felt tired and kept wanting to pass out. "Carlson, why are you wearing a bucket on your head? Is that the bucket I mop the floor with?"
"No, mommy. This is my hat." Carlson replies and rubs one of his eyes. He felt tired.
At school, Dean was in the restroom. He was washing his hands when a guy came into the restroom. He looked older than a middle schooler, which puzzled Dean. The guy had light brown hair. He had a goatee already grown out, and his height was tall. Tall like an adult man. He kind of resembles Shaggy Rogers from Scooby Doo.
"Um... Did you mature quickly?" Dean asks nervously.
"Dude, did you just get a boner and come in the bathroom to calm down?" The guy asked. Dean was confused.
"What do you mean?" Dean asks. "I never seen you before in this school. Are you new?"
"Oh, hell no, I just went into the middle school again?" The guy asked Dean. He nods. "I keep forgetting which school is which. Oh well, I am going to chow down on burgers. I heard they were gonna have hamburgers today for lunch in the middle school." The guy left. The guy that came into the bathroom was Brandonlee. Leeann's older brother, but Dean didn't know him. Dean was confused about the whole conversation with the guy.
After school, Jill and Leeann were sent out to defeat some monsters that were lurking around the New Richmond village. Dean and Vikki were trying to work on homework together in their bedroom. "Did you get C for the first question?" Dean asks his friend.
"I got B." Vikki responds.
"Oh, I am unsure what it is." Dean says.
"Let me show you how I got my answer." Vikki said to Dean and began to show him how he got his answer. Dean was still confused but tried to follow along.
Leaenn killed one monster. "Do you think that we should ask for the boys' help? I am not sure why we don't. We do need them. We can't just defeat everything on our own." Jill said to Leeann and then hit a monster with her whip, knocking it over, turning it to dust.
"We don't need them! Boys are useless! If there's any more like us, they'd better be girls!" Leeann responds and slays another monster. Jill got the last monster. They disappeared their weapons.
"What if there aren't any more girls like us?" Jill asks Leeann.
"I have faith that there will be. Just give it time. Now do you want to go shopping?"
"Yes, I do." Jill and Leeann decided to go shopping. Katrina was in her bedroom. Sitting on her bed. She was deep in thought. For the past weeks, she couldn't stop thinking about what she remembered hearing. What she heard from her supposed father in his bedroom. That he had another daughter named 'Katrina' who passed away, and that he couldn't really have children.
"Is Dean and I really adopted? Who are we really? What's my real name?" Katrina wondered. Katrina got off her bed, and she decided to go into her father's bedroom. He was at work and wouldn’t know she would be in there. "I need a clue. Something to tell me more about myself." Katrina went snooping around in her father's bedroom.
"These monsters are not strong enough to defeat those stupid children!" A man with a hooded cloak complained. There was two men by him. They were out in the woods.
"That is your fault! You didn't give them much power as you thought you did! You need to give them more power when you create them, Randel!" One of the men said.
"You think I should make them as tough as I tried to make that monster that darn Vikki had to fight? If I sent more of those out that will drain lots of my power." Randel tells the two men. A woman came over to the men.
"This is Jenny. The Sea God had spoken to me in a dream! He told me great things! He told me that we will be victorious! That he will come to Earth as promised!" The woman said with a devilish smile.
"How can that be?! We keep losing against those ridiculous children!" Randel glares at the woman.
"It's very simple. We all need to pray to our Sea God while you create the monsters. They should be much tougher. Those kids wouldn't be able to defeat them. And I also suggest you to attack the ones that have not awoken yet."
"Are you sure this would work, Jenny?! Did master really come to you in a dream and told you this?!" One of the men asks.
"He did." She smiles.
