~Chapter Seven~

In the mall, monsters began attacking people. They were coming through windows, breaking and crashing through the hard brick walls of the stores, as well as the glass doors that were in front of the mall. Even though this was happening, they did not see it in the store they happened to be in. But Leeann sensed it. "I need to go to the bathroom!" She lies to Jill, Alivia, and Katrina. She ran out of the store. "I need to take care of those monsters now." Leeann closes her eyes, and a sword appears. It was her sword. As soon as she grabbed her sword, she started to slay the monsters.

More just kept coming. "Where are these coming from?" Leeann wondered. People were scared and screaming. Leeann killed three monsters, and they disappeared into dust. Another four came around. "I don't want to be caught doing this!" Leeann thought.

"There are monsters out there!" Alivia said, looking out the door of the store, they were in. Katrina couldn't believe what she saw along with Jill. They didn't see Leeann. They saw the monsters, though. "We should get out of here!"

"Everyone else is!" Katrina said and ran out the door. Alivia and Jill followed her. They all left the mall. "What about Leeann?!"

"She must've escaped before us." Alivia guessed.

"I hope so." Jill worried for her friend. Katrina was worried as well.

Moa appears by Leeann. "Need any help? Want me to get Dean and Vikki?"

"No. I don't need them! Guys are useless and so are you! So go away!" Leeann destroys another monster.

"Are you sure? You look like you're getting too tired, and there are a lot of them."

"Just go away!" Leeann didn't want to talk to Moa. She just wanted to get the job done and get rid of all the monsters. The monsters were there to make lots of sacrifices and bloodshed for the Sea God. Leeann killed the last monsters. "Okay, where is the person summoning these monsters?!" Leeann went looking around. She saw someone in a dark, hooded cloak from a distance. "I bet they did it!" Leeann ran to the mysterious person, but the person disappeared. "Damn."

Moa came over to Leeann. "That was one of the Sea God's followers. There are many of them. Many of them will continue to send monsters out. You'd better get rid of that sword before someone sees you." Moa tells Leeann and disappears. Leeann's sword disappeared.

Vikki was sitting on the sofa. He was looking down. Dean wasn't in the living room anymore as he was in the bathroom cleaning it. "I miss my mom. No one in my family actually wants to take me in. No one even knows about the death of my parents.

Although I used Dad's credit card to make sure, I have money. But dad's money is running out, and I can't pay for food, the bills that involves with the electricity and water anymore.

Dad sure had a lot of money he saved and was hiding from mom and me." Vikki thought to himself. It was true, Vikki's parents had already passed but no one knew about it. It was kept a secret. Vikki never went public with it because he feared. Feared he would have to move away and wouldn't be able to stay how things were, even if his dad owned the house before. It was a difficult situation.

Vikki gets up. He left without telling Dean anything. He went back home.

He stared at the living room. He felt upset. He went to his parents' bedroom. "Dad was a drunk. He was always angry for some reason. He was also greedy with his money." Vikki looked at his parents' bedroom. It was just as they left it. Vikki didn't even change one thing about it. He never even went into his parents' bedroom since they were alive. The bed sheets weren't properly on the bed.

"I remember, I didn't understand it much. But... Dad would always hit Mom and me. Mom kept telling me to go play next door. I heard her always crying when Dad wasn't home. Mom was really nice to me, but she was always depressed. I think it was because of Dad hurting her all the time. I remember trying to tell her to just leave dad if he hurts us both. But she wouldn't.

Told me she couldn't because she was in love with him, even though he hurt her. But no man should hurt her. But no man should hurt any woman if they claim to love them." Vikki says to himself.

Moa appeared to Dean. "There you are. What were you doing?" Dean asked Moa.

"Had to take care of business. Sensed monsters nearby at the mall. Don't worry, Leeann took care of them all."

"At the mall?! I hope Katrina is okay." Dean started to worry. The front door opened and Moa disappeared. Katrina came over to Dean.

"I saw monsters today! And I am not lying! Saw them all over the mall, then they disappeared! I need to call Leeann to see if she made it home safe." Katrina walks away.

"I am glad Katrina is okay." Dean thought to himself. I wonder where Vikki went. Wait, Leeann? Is she a chosen one?"

Vikki sat down on his parents' bed. "I don't know what to do. I need to tell the truth. My parents are dead. I am running out of money, and now I don't know what to do." Vikki lay down on the bed. He ended up passing out.

At night, it was around 12 AM. Dean was asleep in bed. He had a dream.

"We need to defeat that, Sea God!" Vikki says. Dean was dreaming of the past. Their past lives.

"How are we going to do that? We keep losing more people! This battle might be hopeless!" A girl with braids said.

"We can't just do nothing! We have to do something!" Vikki seemed mad.

"It seems like you all are too weak still and not strong enough to defeat the Sea God. You can't even defeat his followers and monsters." Moa said, and Vikki glares at him.

"I believe we can do this! We all have to believe in ourselves and our team." Dean says.

"We lost two people today. They died, and Katrina is pregnant. What more are we supposed to do?" Jill asks, looking upset.

Dean wakes up to hearing a sound. "What was that?" Dean wondered. "Did I dream of the past?" Dean got out of bed and went looking around to see if anything was out of place or if someone was trying to break in. "I don't see anything." Dean mumbles. He didn't. It was raining hard, though. "Maybe it was thunder?" Dean guessed and went back to his bedroom. Dean went to lie down again.

Katrina was in bed, dreaming. She was dreaming a weird dream she didn't expect. Katrina was moaning as Vikki was licking her neck down to her breast. "Victor..." He stops and looks at her. "I love you."

"I love you too." He replied and pressed his lips against hers. Katrina woke up. "EW!" She yelled. She felt disgusted. "Why did I dream that?!" Dean heard her and went to her bedroom.

   "Are you okay?" Dean asks.

"I had a nightmare!" Katrina answers.

"You did? I don't like nightmares."

"My nightmare was scarier than your nightmares." Katrina wasn't sure why she dreamed of that. Why did she dream of Victor.

"That's weird, Dad didn't even come in here to check on you. I heard you scream. He should have, too." Dean was confused why their dad didn't come in there to check on Katrina.

"That does sound odd." Katrina got up and went to her dad's bedroom. She knocked on the door. "Dad? Are you in there?" She asked. There was no answer. Dean came over to his sister.

"Is he okay?" Dean started to get worried about his dad now.

"Maybe he's in a deep sleep?" Katrina guessed. She opened the door. It was unlocked. Katrina and Dean didn't see their father in the bedroom. "Where did he go?"

"I don't know. I thought he was home when we all ate dinner, and after that. He told us both 'goodnight'. I am confused."

"He better not be sneaking out to go see a chick! That would be so wrong!" Katrina said, already feeling disgusted.

"But if dad wants to date, shouldn't he be allowed?" Dean asks Katrina confused.

"If he does, then he never loved mom." Katrina said and went back to her bedroom.

"But daddy did love mommy." Dean thought to himself. Dean went looking for his dad all over the house but couldn't find him. He then went to his bedroom and sat down on his bed again. "I guess that sound I heard might've been daddy leaving the house. Dean guessed. That was the only explanation for the sound.

Vikki woke up on his parents' bed. "I passed out? I shouldn't be sleeping in h-" Vikki didn't finish speaking. He thought he saw someone walk past the door.

"Someone better not be in here!" Vikki started to feel a little scared, but he swallowed hard and decided to take a look. He got up and went out of his parents' bedroom. He didn't see anyone in the hallway. "I don't get it... I know I saw someone." Vikki decided to search his small house. He couldn't find anything. "Did I imagine it?" He wondered. He then looked at the basement door. The only room he hasn't been into.

"Why would anyone go into the basement?" He asks himself. He wasn't sure if he wanted to open the door or not. "Dad and mom... They were in here. I haven't even been down here since their death."

Vikki thought to himself. He started to shake a little as he touched the doorknob. He slowly turned it and opened the door. All he saw was darkness. He switched the light on. He saw nothing. He slowly started to go down the steps.

"I really hope no one is in here! Mom! Dad!" Vikki started feeling weird as he made it down to the last step. He got off the stairs and looked around. The basement was the same as he left it, but had some spiderwebs on the walls. As he looked around, he saw no evidence of his parents anywhere. He didn't see his mom or his dad. "They were supposed to be in here.        Where are they?" Vikki just felt strange.

His parents, who were dead wasn't even in the basement like he remembered they were.

"What?! Where are they?!" Vikki felt like he was freaking out. They weren't there. Nowhere to be seen. He remembered just bits and pieces of what happened. He held his head. "Mom?!      Dad?! Did they die down here or upstairs?!"

Vikki just couldn't remember where they died. He just thought they were always in the basement because all through the floor above their bodies was not there. He wouldn't dare go in there to see them. But there was the living room too. He barely went in there because something about the room made him feel uneasy, even though he knew their corpse wasn’t in there.

"Vikki..." A voice said. The voice sounded familiar to Vikki.

"Who's there?!" Vikki asked, looking around.

"Vikki..." The voice said again. Vikki turned around. His eyes widen. He couldn't believe it. Standing behind him was a woman. She had medium-length hair, the same color as Vikki's.

   "M-Mom?"
